Born and raised in the great state of Texas, I grew up in the Dallas area and now call Austin home.

I will always be a swimmer at heart, but Austin has helped me branch out into various new hobbies. Give me a pretty day in Austin and you're likely to see my cycling around town, kayaking or hiking the greenbelt, mountain biking or enjoying a drink on one of Austin's many patios.

Two years ago I finally bought the dog I had wanted ever since I was a kid. As long as he's sleeping, I have the best dog in the word! He likes being outside just as much as I do, but he's not very good at listening to me.

I graduated with an English degree in 2008 from St. Ed's. Even though everybody told me I'd never find a job as an English major, I managed to work it out. Unfortunately, acquisitions and financial problems led to layoffs: My most recent position ended exactly one year after I started my job at Vignette - two layoffs in one year. Ouch. Thanks, recession.
